(Marietta, OH) - The Deputies of the Washington County Sheriff's Department who were involved in the Beverly shooting back in August were cleared by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations.

A Washington County Grand Jury returned indictments on 21 individuals this week. The evidence and witness accounts compiled in the fatal shooting investigation led the Washington County Prosecutor's Office to conclude that no officers would face penalties.

Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks had stated during a press release earlier this month that he did not believe, based on initial reports, that any of the deputies would be disciplined as a result of the incident.
