Community Celebrates Life of Bill Wesel

(Marietta, OH) - The community is celebrating the life of a prominent business man.
 
Bill Wesel died on Sunday at his home at the age of 83.
 
In addition to serving as president of Marietta Ignition, Wesel served the community as a member of Rotary, a member of the Safety Town
committee, an original member of the Hippodrome/Colony Theatre Association, and the American Legion.
 
Funeral liturgy, with mass for Bill Wesel will be held at 10 am Saturday, at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption. Burial will be in New St. Mary Cemetery, with full military rites. Visitation will be held at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley and Peoples Funeral Home from 10 am to 8 pm on Friday, with a vigil service at 3 pm.
 
Memorial donations may be made to The Humane Society of the Mid-Ohio Valley, The Hippodrome/Colony Theatre Association, The Knights of Columbus #478, or the St. Mary's School Foundation.
