Wood County Deputy Turned Himself In

(Parkersburg, WV) - The Wood County Sheriff's deputy accused of driving drunk last month turned himself in this morning.
 
Cory Six, 26, of Parkersburg, went into the sheriff's office this morning and was arrested on active warrants for driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving. He was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond, $1,000 for each of the misdemeanor charges.
 
The warrant was issued March 8 for an incident on March 4. He was not arrested at the traffic stop.
 
He went to a treatment program in California. According to the News and Sentinel, Sheriff Ken Merritt said no action would be taken on the deputy while he was in the program.
