(Williamstown, WV) - Work on the railroad crossing on the West Virginia side of the Williamstown Bridge will close the crossing over the Ohio River for three days beginning on Monday morning.

Williamstown Police say CSX is scheduled to begin the work at 7 am Monday in the 100 block of Highland Avenue, prompting the closure of the bridge.

Police say that officials from CSX and the West Virginia Division of Highways tell them the work should be completed by sometime on Wednesday, May 25.

The bridge will be closed 24 hours a day until the work is completed, and drivers should use the I-77 bridge across the Ohio River as a detour.
