Washington County Youth Win Regional Scholarships

(Nelsonville, OH) -- Ten Washington County students are among more than 100 in the Appalachian region of Ohio to receive scholarships from the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio.
 
Adelaide Hirschi, Matt Neehouse and Kaitlyn Seevers were all recipients of the AK Steel Foundation Scholastic Award. Hirschi is a graduate of the Ohio Virtual Academy. Neehouse and Seevers are both graduates of Warren High School.
 
Alivia Frazier, Brandon Larsen, Cady Lenington and Kaylen Morrison all received the Jennifer Garrison Public Service Scholarship. Frazier is a graduate of Warren High School. Lenington is a graduate of Marietta High School. Larsen and Morrison are both graduates of Frontier High School.
 
Ashton Amos, Lydia Beardsley, and Danielle Darling have all received the Wayne F. White and Bob Evans Scholarship. Amos is a graduate of Frontier High School. Beardsley is a graduate of Waterford High School. Darling is a graduate of Marietta High School.
 
Lenington, Morrison, and Seevers also were recipients of the Wayne F. White and Bob Evans Scholarship.
 
The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio presented a total of 111 awards to 101 students. Those awards totaled more than $163,000 for youth to pursue a higher education.
