Marietta man sentenced to life for murder of baby

MARIETTA, Ohio (July 25, 2016) - A Marietta man was sentenced to life in prison last week for the aggravated murder of his infant son and felonious assault of his 2-year-old daughter.
 
Adam J. Baker, age 24, entered a guilty plea to one felony count of aggravated murder and one count of second-degree felonious assault for incidents happening in June and November 2015, respectively.
 
He was initially arrested by Marietta City Police back in December after confessing to the crimes.
 
Baker will be eligible for parole after 23 years.
