Barlow Fair kicks off Thursday

BARLOW, Ohio (September 21, 2016) - Ohio's oldest independent fair is bustling with activity, as the 145th Barlow Fair officially opens to the public Thursday.
 
The big attraction for opening day will be free carnival rides from 6 to 10 p.m., along with the tractor pull that begins at 6 p.m., as well. Other weekend highlights include the fair's first rodeo, a burrito-eating contest, and live music by several talented, local musicians.
 
One other noteworthy event is the annual fair parade at 6 p.m. on Friday.
 
The Barlow Fair runs through Sunday, September 26th. Gates will open to the public Thursday at 4 p.m., then at 8 a.m. Friday through Sunday. Single admission tickets are $5 for adults, and $3 for children between the ages of 6 and 12.
