MARIETTA, Ohio (September 26, 2016) - Memories were shared, laughs were had, and even a few tears were shed at the second annual Marietta High School Athletic Hall of Fame banquet, held Saturday evening at the Quality Inn.

The eight inductees: Tobe Offenberger, Jim Farley, Tracy Binegar Huggins, Mark Geisler, Bill Warden, Misty Singer Mahefkey and Doug Bentz, were recognized for their outstanding athletic careers in the Orange and Black.

The chairman of the Hall of Fame committee, Mark Duckworth talked with WMOA about the success of the night.

"Well, I thought it was a fantastic evening," said Duckworth. "[It was] a time for everyone to share their memories, their Tiger memories. … Many people talked about how great it is growing up in Marietta and what a fantastic place this is to live and raise your family."

A new addition to the ceremony this year was the induction of honoree members Gerald and Pat Geisler, who were honored for contributing an extraordinary amount of time over several decades to the Marietta Tiger Boosters and for Pat's work tutoring students.
