History of Local Glass Institutions Event Thursday

Do you love the region's rich history in glass?  Join Jim Measell, historian at Fenton Art Glass, at The Castle this Thursday to learn the interesting history behind the two giants of glass production in the Mid-Ohio-Valley:   Royal Glass of Marietta and Fenton Art Glass of Williamstown.  The expert will also discuss the culture of collecting that has grown around these two institutions.
 
The event begins at 7pm this Thursday, February 16th.  The cost is $5 for nonmembers; $4 for members; and free to Docents.  Employees with The Castle say there is a lot of interest in this program so you are encouraged to call 740-373-4180 to make reservations. 

MOV Restaurant Week Kicks Off Feb. 27

The inaugural Mid-Ohio Valley Restaurant Week kicks off February 27, with 13 local restaurants participating. The event, which runs through March 4, encourages locals and visitors alike to enjoy a great culinary experience, visit an old favorite, or find a new hidden gem, all while supporting local businesses.

 

Tommy Dorsey Orchestra Comes to Marietta Friday

People's Bank Theatre will feature a throwback to the Big Band era this Friday night, as the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra comes to town!
