The Civil War Roundtable of the Mid-Ohio Valley has completed a project aimed at preserving a piece of local and American History.  The organization recently finalized the Camp Putnam Marker Project, which was dedicated at Indian Acres Park in Marietta last spring on the 155th anniversary of the date that the first troops arrived at the camp.

The marker was also dedicated to the late Dan Hinton, a founder of the Civil War Roundtable, who performed extensive research about Camp Putnam.

Organizers took the opportunity this week to thank local and regional sponsors and volunteers for their support.

The Civil War ROundtable of the Mid-Ohio Valley is associated with the Marietta Community Foundation.
