Lest We Forget at the Castle in Marietta

In April 1917, Congress declared the U.S. was at war.  The First World War stands as a forgotten time in American history.  On Founders Day in Marietta, Ohio, The Castle Historic House Museum's event "Lest We Forget" will remember Washington County's involvement in this conflict with an evening of World War I-era music.
 
This on-night-only concert features talented regional muscians and renowned speakers beginning at 7:30pm on April 7th, at Peoples Bank Theatre in downtown Marietta.
 
The Event will feature musical performances by :
 
  • The Marietta College Concert Choir & Wind Ensemble
  • The Wayfarers
  • Barefoot McCoy
  • Square Thirteen
  • And others.
Speakers include:
  • Dr. Paul Lockhart, Author & Historian (Wright State University)
  • Sergeant First Class Joshua Mann, Historian (Ohio National Guard)
  • Becki Trivison, WWI Coordinator (Ohio History Connection)
  • Dr. Matthew Young (Marietta College)
  • and more...
