Names have been released after tragedy struck the Ohio State Fair yesterday evening.

A section of the open air pendulum ride known as the "FireBall" became disconnected and shot some of its riders into the air, leaving one dead and 7 others injured, some critically.  The rider who perished during the accident was identified later as 18 year old Tyler Jarrett of Columbus.

Four of the injured are from Columbus, one from Reynoldsburg, one from Pataskala and one 14 year old boy who's name is being withheld at the request of the family.

Governor John Kasich released a statement yesterday saying quote:

"I amd terribly saddened by this accident, by the loss of life and that people were injured enjoying Ohio's Fair."

The Governor has ordered a full investigation into the incident and has also ordered that all of the rides at the Ohio State Fair to be shut down.
