First Friday events are scheduled for this Friday as we cross over into the month of August.

As usual, downtown businesses will be open late between 5pm and 9pm so the community can shop local in downtown Marietta.

The 42nd Band Organ Rally will be in town and is supported by the Mid America Chapter of the Music Box Society and is hosted by Jim and Sylvi Caporale of American Flags and Poles.

The Happiest Music on Earth will be in downtown Marietta from the Lafayette Hotel all the way to Campus Martius and Marietta Main Street has said that the tunes can be heard on Second Street as well.

A free carousel will be featured on the Armory Lawn as well as band organs, monkey organs, calliopes and much more.

More information is available at MariettaMainStreet.org.
