As summertime and the lovely month of August is beginning to wind down, lots of college kids will start moving onto campuses during the next few days. And our Marietta community is no exception. Here are a few tips for parents helping their students pack up for their extended stay for their college education.

Consumer reports suggest to go after thick but afforable towels. Skips the expensive stuff, but don't go cheap either. The towels you bring will likely spend some time on the floor. Also, bring a microwave to make yourselves a quick pick-me-up snack like Hot Pockets or Ramen Noodles. You can gtet a quality one for around $100. Instead of an iron for your clothes, get a bottle of wrinkle release spray instead. And of course, ditch the alarm clock. We all know that nowadays, people use their cellphones for that.
