Lookout Park Receives New Playground Equipment

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held yesterday afternoon at Lookout Park, which unveiled newly installed playground equipment for the children of Marietta to enjoy thanks to a $30,000 grant awarded two yeasr ago to replace the twenty year-old previous equiptment, which included mulch donated by the Haesly Hardwood Lumber Company that is specifically designed to cushion children if they should run or fall.
 
Lookout Park has also seen an update to one of its tennis courts, and council is looking to harden the walking trail and add a pavilion for family reunions in the near future.
