Scientists at Ohio State University have released details of a new study that shows an increased lung cancer risk for men taking certain B-Vitamins.

The comprehensive cancer research found that men who took high dose vitamin B-6 and B-12 supplements were at a significantly increased risk of developing lung cancer. The supplements are often advertised as a way to boost energy and metabolism. Epidemiologist Theodore Brasky stated that OSU looked at men taking high doses over a ten-year period.

Officials say that men who smoke and are concerned about lung cancer risk should find ways to quit smoking.
