On October 6th 2017, the Campus Martius Museum here in Marietta will host a special presentation from noon to 1:00 p.m. called "World War 1 On the Ohio Home Front: Your Country Calls". This presentation will be hosted by guest speaker Susan Talbot-Stanaway and will explore how Ohioans participated in the Great War (i.e. World War 1) and how participation shaped important social and political changes including the rise of industrilization and the prominance of women in the workforce.

As Campus Marthius Museum's Education and Program Director Glenna Hoss tells us, this is a piece of history that's not only important to the people of Marietta, but also to Ohio and the Country as a whole. The event has no age limit for attendance and will be free of charge thanks to sponsorship from the Washington County Public library.

For more information about this and other events at the Campus Martius Musuem you can contact the establishment at (740) 373-3750.
