The Mid-Ohio Valley Safety Council will be meeting on Wednesday, October 18th, from 11:30 a.m. To 1:00 p.m. at the Marietta Shrine Club. The topic for the month is "Mindfulness and Resiliency" with featured speaker Katy Tombaugh.
 

WMOA recently spoke with the Mid-Ohio Valley Safety Council president Carrie Ankrom about just what this month's discussion topic is about.
 

"Featured speaker Katy Tombaugh is the owner of Wellness Collective out of Columbus, Ohio. And she will be speaking on wellness in the workplace, something that we all need as employers and employees to be healthy and resilient and ready to go for the workday."

 

The cost of the meeting is $15 for Safety Council members (including lunch). Membership in Safety Council is open to representatives of business and industry in the Mid-Ohio Valley interested in improving safety awareness in the workplace.

Corn Picker Fire in Washington County

A small fire began today in a corn field in Washington County. Crews arrived however the fire was put out with Gatorade.

 

Boil Advisory For East Spring Street in Marietta

East Spring Street between Colgate Drive and Vine street are under a boil advisory.
