Marietta will be one of the several locations along Ohio 26 that will be part of the 28th annual Fall Foliage Tour and Antique Engine/Equipment Show to be held this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday from Noon to 5:00 p.m. Sponsored by the Little Muskingum Watershed Association, this event celebrates the fall change of colors.

We recently spoke with the event's director Karen Eddy who tells us a little bit about the purpose of this event and what native locals and visiting tourists can expect.

"Years ago the group was started just to kind of promote tourism in our area of the county, and it's a beautiful drive out State Route 26. We have different stops along the way."

The various activities of this event will include self-guided driving tours along Ohio 26, stops with food, apple butter making and selling, engines and equipment on display, games, crafts, raffles, live music, and several tractor events. Several of Washington County's historic covered bridges will also be featured on the drive.

"At the Lawrence School where the Horseman's Group is playing bingo, and you take advantage on the bingo slots and whatever. They'll have food. They'll have flea markets and stuff there for anyone that would like that. And that's only on Saturday at the school."
