"For Victory" Washington County Responds to World War I

In Marietta, The Armory Square will host a special seminar called "For Victory!" Washington County Responds to World War I on Saturday, October 21st at 10:00 a.m. This free event will explore the roles Washington County citizens played in responding to the country's needs during the First World War with a day of demonstrations and interactive activities.
 
This look back at history from 100 years ago will allow participants will learn how local citizens helped from home or in the service of the Red Cross, how the Salvation Army comforted soldiers just beyond the trenches, and how Washington County fathers, sons, and brothers serving in Marietta's Ohio National Guard unit prepared for their impending actions in France.
