Housecalls Home Health Earns High Quality Ratings from CMS

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in cooperation with the LHC Group used its Five-Star Quality Rating System recognized Housecalls Home Health in Belpre, Ohio as a top-notch medical provider. The LHC Group, a national provider of post-acute care services with over 14,000 employees operating more than 450 locations in 27 states.
WMOA News recently spoke with the LHC Group's Media Relations and Content Manager Benny Ross about how these statistics were determined for Belpre and other healthcare providers.
"They basically just rate home health providers according to two main categories; quality of care and patient satisfaction, and it's a five-star rating standard. So they rate them according to those two categories. They conduct surveys and examinations."
According to the data, the Belpre home health provider achieved the highest rating possible in the quality category with a 5-star rating in quality and a 4-star rating in patient satisfaction.
The ratings - issued quarterly - are highly sought after by home health providers and seen as a key differentiator and indicator of overall quality in the home health industry.
In total. LHC Group saw 89 of its provider locations achieve a 5-star rating in at least one of the two categories.
