A new face iwll beat the Convention and Visitors Bureau in Marietta.  Deana Clark has been named as the new Executive Director after several months of the postition being vacant.

Vice President of the CVB, Cheri Seevers told WMOA about the selection process.

"We received probably 17 resumes, we narrowed them down to four.  We did first and second interviews and it was an extremely difficult decision but we feel that we made the right choice and we have a perfect fit for our community."

Deana Clark will begin her position as the newest Executive Director for the CVB on December 4th.

She's currently general manager of The Lodge at Burr Oak State Park which was temporarily closed down in 2012.  Clark worked very hard in chaning the minds of those who wanted to remove the lodge.  Instead the 2 million dollars that would have gone to demolition of the lodge, went to renovating it.  Clark says that it is doing better than ever.

Clark has experience in this role as she is the former CVB director for Morgan County, Ohio.
