Shooting in New Matamoras Under Investigation

A shooting in New Matamoras is currently under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff's Office. Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks said the initial call came in this morning around 6:07.
Limited information is available at this time however Sheriff Mincks filled us in as the story continues to develop.
"Right now we have a hsooting under investigation. When we arrived, the person who had been shot at had left and of course the people who allegedly conducted the shooting had also left. So we just have a crime scene up there that we are currently investigating."
According to the Sheriff, there were 2 shots fired into a residence at 390 Brownsville Road in New Matamoras. According to the Sheriff's Office, the suspects and victim fled the residence once they gained knowledge that authorities were coming.
It is currently believed by the Sheriff's Office that the person in the house was grazed by a bullet as the shooting took place.
Sheriff Mincks stated that some leads are available regarding who may have conducted the shooting however cannot be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
