Posted on: 10/26/2012

Former Washington County Jail Administrator Dean Ketelsen has voluntarily dismissed his lawsuit against Sheriff Larry Mincks.

Earlier this year, Ketelsen was charged with felony charges of theft concerning missing painkiller medications that disappeared from the jail in 2010.

Ketelsen maintained his innocence and following a bench trial, was acquitted.

In September he filed a lawsuit for damages against Sheriff Mincks for his statements to the media made before and during the trial.

Mincks responded earlier this month with a motion to dismiss. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Ketelsen filed a voluntary motion to dismiss on Tuesday.
