Washington County Average in Ohio Health Ratings; Pleasants Near Best in W.Va.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has a new set of health
ratings for every county in the United States.
According to this massive study, the healthiest county in
Ohio is Geauga, followed by Putnam, Delaware and Medina.
Washington County, at number 46, ranked near the middle
statewide.
The least healthy counties are in south central Ohio: Adams,
Jackson, Lawrence and Scioto coming in dead last.
In West Virginia, Monongalia County - the
Morgantown area - ranked healthiest, but two area counties did very well.
Pleasants
County came in seventh and Ritchie County eleventh. Wood County came in at number 32 of 55 counties.
The Mountain State’s least healthy counties were in the struggling
southern coalfields.
