Task Force, Police Find Meth Making Ingredients and Equipment in Belpre Raid
Posted on: 02/10/2014
By  Mike Cullums

Acting on a tip, the Washington County Major Crimes Task Force and Belpre Police conducted a raid at a Belpre home Saturday night and found what they were expecting: all the ingredients and tools needed to operate a significant meth-amphetatmine lab.

Michael Packard, 46, was in his home at 811 Walnut Street when the raid occurred. He was jailed on a felony charge of assembling chemicals and will have an initial appearance in court today.

The Marietta Fire Department haz-mat unit assisted Belpre firefighters in dealing with the potentially volatile chemicals found inside the house.
