An old Quaker home in Chesterhill is being restored and will soon house a multicultural genealogical research center
The house is located at the corner of State Route 555 and Marion Street. According to the Morgan County Herald it has been under the ownership of a succession of Quaker families - some with ties to the Underground Railroad.
After a major restoration project by volunteers it will provide a library for documents, photos and records of families who lived in the area as early as the 1830s.
