Mayor Michael Mullen is offering the public a preview of his plans for a wireless broadband initiative this weekend at the Sternwheel Festival.

While the initiative primarily involves upgrading the city's wireless infrastructure to support city services and public safety, a demonstration will showcase some of the potential capacity for area residents.

The demo project will provide a camera view of the Sternwheel Festival which will be broadcast on the city website and Washington State Community College's cable Channel 22.
