And, our friends at Washington Morgan Community Action are getting ready for their annual Secret Santa program.

Applications will be accepted from Oct 20 through Nov. 14 at 218 Putnam Street from 9 to 11 and 1 to 3, Monday through Friday.

Working parents who are not available during those hours can call and schedule an appointment.

Applicants must provide proof of income, proof of Washington County residency, a photo ID, birth certificates, and social security numbers for participating children and adults. Qualifying families will have an income of 150 percent of the federal poverty level or less. The program will serve ages newborn to 12.

Community action is also seeking donations and sponsors to help make the holidays special for children served by the Secret Santa program. If you'd like to sponsor a child, please call 373-3745.
