OCC Encourages AEP Customers to Voice Concerns on Rate Increase
Posted on: 10/09/2008
By  Callie Lyons
The Ohio Consumers Council is encouraging AEP customers to voice their opinions about an electric security plan filed by American Electric Power. The proposal if approved would increase customers rates by 45 percent over the next three years. The OCC opposes the rate hike.

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio is hosting a public hearing on the matter in Marietta on Tuesday, Oct 14 at Washington State Community College.

Residents will have an opportunity to speak and testimony will be entered into the case file as the PUCO considers its decision.

The meeting begins at 6:30 on Tuesday in the Harvey Graham Auditorium.
