Eramet Moving Forward with Plans for Upgrades
Posted on: 11/12/2008
By  Callie Lyons
Eramet is moving forward with plans for substantial environmental upgrades at their State Route 7 plant.

Company officials met with representatives from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to discuss their plans for the future. Though no permits have yet been filed, Eramet spokesperson Joy Frank Collins says the company is making progress towards its goals.

Two of the primary objectives of the $150 million in upgrades announced over Labor Day weekend are to improve the operational and environmental performance of the facility.

Frank Collins said it's important for Eramet officials to explain what they would like to accomplish since the OEPA figures in so greatly.

She said everything is a little bleak during these economic times, but the company is still planning for the improvements.
