Once again we see that Jeff Gordon has stepped out of retirement. This time to take part in the Rolex 24 at Daytona field again. Jeff last raced in the Rolex 24 at Daytona back in 2007 where he drove the no. 10 SunTrust Pontiac-Riley for Wayne Taylor Racing. His teammates consisted of Max Angelelli, Jan Magnussen, and Wayne Taylor and they went on to finish 3rd in the event, two laps behind the team of Juan Pablo Montoya, Scott Pruett, and Salvador Duran. For the 2017 Rolex 24 at Daytona, Jeff will be partnering with Wayne Taylor Racing again and will be teaming with Angelelli, Jordan Taylor, and Ricky Taylor in a new Cadillac DPi in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship's headlining Prototype class.

"I had so much fun the first time I did this," Gordon said. "And at this point of my life and career [winning the Rolex 24] would be huge. When I came here in 2007 I was just kind of along for the ride. (DIS) The 2017 Rolex 24 at Daytona is scheduled for January 28th-29th, 2017.
