After a very exciting 2016 season, Legendary Hilltop Speedway is gearing up for another action-packed racing season. The 2017 season schedule will feature some of the tracks popular events and will span from the months of March to October.

Over the past couple months the track has been in some major contract discussions that have had a fair share of rumors of the track not open for 2017. The upcoming season will once again feature Late Models, Modifieds, Sport Mods, and 4-cylinders that will be sanctioned out of the AMRA. Throughout the year, the track will also feature Street Stocks and appearances by the Mod-Lite and the Steel Block Late Model divisions. Track promoter Lhan Weppler will remain open to other classes on a case by case basis. Mini-Wedges will also compete at the track but on a schedule to be announced at a later date.

To kick off the 2017 racing season, the track will open the gates on Saturday March 18th, for the 4th Annual Frostbuster 30. Then on Sunday April 30th, the track will welcome the return of the OVSCA Sprint Cars. On May 19th, the track will hold a Late Model special that is also to be announced.

More events throughout the season that are scheduled include the Mid-Season Championship on June 16th that will have a special $4 general admission night on June 30th. Autograph night is set to be for July 14th, plus a "Kids Night" on August 11th. On the weekend of the Marietta Sternwheeler Festival, the track will be off, but will get back to action on September 15th with the 3rd Annual running of the OGVC Freedom 30. Many dates are yet to be filled for 2017 but you can follow the track on Facebook for more dates, announcements, and other information.
