Belpre Man Arrested in Drug Bust; Cocaine, Marijuana, Firearm, $15,000, and Several THC Products were Seized from Home.

Yesterday, agents executed a search warrant at the residence of Chase Cowan in Belpre, Ohio. According to the report, Cowan and a 17-year-old juvenile were located in the residence. 
 
 
"Through Investigative techniques we did become aware that Mr. Cowan had a variety of drugs he was dealing with, Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks told WMOA, "and we were able to obtain probable cause for a search warrant of his residence."
 
 
Sherriff Mincks added that, "it is a positive step in the right direction, but unfortunately (drug users) always seem to find another source."
 

The Washington County Sherriff's Office's 'Special News Release' stated that agents recovered 11.02 grams cocaine, 1.79 lbs. of marijuana, 16 marijuana plants (3.95 lbs.), 4.6 pounds of marijuana edibles, 687.54 grams of marijuana wax, multiple controlled substances to include Alprazolam, Acetaminophen and Oxycodone Hydrochloride, Clonazepam, Vyvanse, multiple calibers of ammunition, one handgun, 324 THC Vaporizer pen cartridges with 1 gram each (totaling 324 grams) and $15,652 cash.  Agents also recovered items consistent with drug abuse, trafficking, manufacturing and using.
 

Chase Payton Cowan, age 22, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing and appearance in Marietta Municipal Court. 
 
 
Cowan was charged with trafficking in cocaine in the vicinity of a juvenile, F2, 2 counts trafficking in hashish solids in the vicinity of a juvenile, F1, trafficking in marijuana in the vicinity of a juvenile, F3, possession of criminal proceeds, F4, trafficking in schedule II substance in the vicinity of a juvenile, F2, cultivation of marijuana in the vicinity of a juvenile, F2, and weapons under disability, F3.
Cowan appeared in Marietta Municipal Court today and is now under at $150,000 bond.

An investigation by Agents of the Ohio Organized Crimes Investigations Commission, Washington Morgan Noble Major Crimes Task Force was conducted in Belpre, Washington County, Ohio, resulting in numerous drug charges.
