Snow at this point in the year is fairly rare.  Reports say the most snow on an April 21st goes all the way back to 1901 in Columbus. They got 2 inches that year on the day. Cleveland and Cincinnati saw 1.8 and 1.5 respectively on the same day and same year.  Certainly not the record though.  Cleveland saw 12.4 inches of snow between April 23rd and 25th in 2005.

Here in Marietta, we are seeing very wet and heavy snow.  We are expecting it to melt off this afternoon. The snow system stretches from Upstate New York down to the northern part of Alabama. Expect a bit more snow as we continue through Wednesday.

April snow showers?

The Mid-Ohio Valley is seeing more snow than previously forecasted.
