Alleged meth, fentanyl seized at traffic stop
The driver stated that mechanical issues with the Jeep he was driving was the cause for weaving and bouncing.
Another occupant stated he had a loaded firearm in the vehicle and provided a permit. When asked if there was anything illegal in the car the occupants wouldn't give straight answers according to reports.
K-9 Rita produced a positive indication on the rear of the car. A search of the vehicle revealed a backpack with suspected fentanyl weighing 7.87 grams and suspected meth weighing 2.03 grams. Another handgun was reportedly found too.
A fanny pack was allegedly found as well containing paraphernalia. One of the car's occupants advised the substances were meth and heroin.
28-year-old Marietta Resident Joshua Allan was placed under arrest and charged with illegal use of possession of drug paraphernalia.
39-year-old James Hunt of Piketon Ohio was charged with having weapons while under disability, possession of fentanyl, conveyance and possession.
35-year-old Sherry Waybright of Portsmouth Ohio was placed under arrest and charged with two counts of possession. Reports say the three will remain incarcerated in the Washington County Jail for their court appearance today at Marietta Municipal.
