MARIETTA, OHIO- After 43 years, Bird Watcher's Digest is closing its doors effective immediately.

The publication released a statement on its website citing its fight to continue to provide "the best content, events, tours, and products to our beloved birding community, the devastating effects of the pandemic on our business have made it impossible for it to continue."

Each of its subscribers, attendees, customers, contributors, and partners will be contacted personally in the coming weeks with more specific information. If you are among these, the publication is asking for your patience.

As a parting gift, Bird Watcher's Digest is releasing its March/April 2022 issue FREE for all web visitors. The editorial and production departments were reportedly hard at work on this issue when BWD closed its doors, and although it will forever remain incomplete and unpublished, they are offering the issue in digital format for all to enjoy.
