Billy Bob Thornton and The Boxmasters to perform in downtown Marietta
The Adelphia Music Hall has announced 2 of its minimum 9 outdoor shows in 2022. Aaron Lewis, whos single "Am I The Only One," debuted on Billboard's #1 Hot Country Song," will kick of the series June 2nd. The second show, which announced today will be Billy Bob Thorton and the Boxmasters.
"The idea of what we wanted to do with this has made sure that we could entertain people on multiple levels, and make sure that it was not only expanding but also getting in to different interest for people musically," said Entertainment director Ric DeRubeis. "With today's announcement with Billy Bob Thornton and The Boxmasters we are bringing in an Oscar winner, which doesn't necessarily resonate with music but he is actually an established musician."
DeRubeis says the overall goal of the Summer Concert Series is to entertain the community and to bolster the local music reputation.
"There isn't a show that you won't be able to point to and go, even if that's not for me, that's really cool that's here," he continued. "That is the point we are trying to drive home. Not everything is for everybody. I don't expect every person that hears this to run out and buy a ticket to any of it, but I really hope the overall sentiment of everybody is that's really cool that is here in downtown Marietta."
