The Grand Central Mall is holding a free summer STEM camp, named "Camp Marshmallow". Ava Huebner, the Marketing Director at the Grand Central Mall, shares the details.

"Marshmallow is a program for kids recommended ages ten and under to, um, kind of get out of the house over the summer and continue to learn educational things. Um, so our first week's host was WTAP. We had one of the meteorologists come out and kind of teach the kids about weather in a fun and interactive way."

She shares what will come to the mall in the coming weeks.

"Up, um, next week we have the Center for Health and Wellness at Marietta College coming out to kind of teach the kids about healthy habits. After that, we are collaborating with Discovery World, and they are bringing in their STEM machine to teach the kids about technology. The Habitat for Humanity is another one of our hosts, and they are coming to teach about construction and do a fun interactive activity revolving around that. And then finally, for our last week, we're going to have the Wood County Bookmobile coming to teach a lesson on dinosaurs."

Huebner explains how to get involved.

"So they can go to our website and just reserve a spot that way. If not, everyone is more than welcome to just show up on the day of the camp. It's from twelve to one o'clock, and just fill out a registration card on the spot."

This camp runs from June 17th until July 15th. This program has been offered at other malls, but this is the first year at Grand Central since the Cafarros took over management.
