The Masters were planned to start this weekend however the Coronavirus put a stop to it and jumbled the  Major Tournaments.

Augusta National along with leading golf organizations identified November 9th-15th as the intended dates to host the 2020 Masters and all events that would typically be held during the Masters.  The statement also revealed that the 2020 Augusta National Women's Amateur tournament has been cancelled and removed from this year's schedule.  The Chairman also thanked everyone for their patients and look forward to the 84th masters being played in November.

SportsCenter tweeted today that the PGA Championship will begin on August 6th and the U.S. Open would begin on the weekend of September 17th.  This is due to the Coronavirus and the fact that the Sternwheel Festival is the weekend prior.   The Open Championship has been completely cancelled for 2020 and will be played at Royal St. George's between July 22th and 18th of 2021.

Just to recap,

  • THE PGA CHAMPIONSHIP IS SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST
  • THE U.S. OPEN IS SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER
  • AND THE MASTERS IS SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER.
