It was Early Morning Baseball for Beverly Lowell Post 389/750 as they opened up the 2022 American Legion Ohio State Baseball Tournament with a first round matchup with Utica Post 92. Beverly Lowell who advanced to the State Tournament after going 3-0 in their disrtict tournament beating Cambrige and then St. Clarisville two times. As for Utica Post 92 they deafted Westerville in a 3 game series that went three games. 
 
Beverly Lowell got things rolling early from Beavers Field in Lancaster as they scored 3 runs in the top of the first inning. In the bottom of the first Starting Pitcher Seth Dennis sruck out the side. Beverly Lowell then added 5 more run in both the fourth and fifth innings making the score 13-0 going intoo the fifth. Utica was able to scratch a run in the bottom ofg the fifth but due to a 10 run mercy rule after five innings the game would go final 13-1.
 
Beverly Lowell now awaits the winner of game 3 of the tournament between Tiffin and Sidney. you can catch the Boys of summer back in action tomorrow with a first pitch scheduled for 11:30 and a pregame on Jaws Classic Country 100.9 at 11:15.
