Man Arrested after Armed Robbery of Maxwell's Pizza

McConnelsville, Ohio- The Morgan County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of an armed robbery and upon arrival it was reportedly discovered that an employee arrived to prepare the opening of Maxwell's Pizza in McConnelsville.  When the employee arrived, they allegedly heard noises near the rear of the building.  While investigating, the employee was confronted by a male with a large knife. In an attempt to shut and lock the door, the suspect forced his way in and pursued after the employee.  The employee was able to make it to a bathroom and lock himself inside.  The suspect eventually left but not before stealing several items. 
 

One was arrested around 7:20pm Wednesday after a deputy was patrolled the area.  An individual was hiding near a carwash in McConnelsville.  The individual was detained and arrested for robbery.  Sheriff McGrath says the office is small but all do a great job working together as a team.
