Two Arrested for Methamphetamine Possession
The vehicle was reportedly weaving and traveling less than the posted speed limit. The traffic stop took place at this point. The driver was identified as Tiffany Wilkes and a male passenger appeared to be asleep in the passenger seat. Wilkes stated his name was John but didn't know him well, adding that she was simply giving him a ride to the Belpre Campus of Marietta Memorial Hospital.
A check on the driver revealed an active warrant, she was placed in the patrol vehicle after being alerted of the warrant. Wilkes also refused to give up her purse, stating she wanted to hold it. Backup arrived on scene and the passenger identified himself as John Richards. He stated he was ill and a squad was called for assistance. He was eventually identified as Robin Richards who was wanted on a felony Adult Parole Authority Warrant. Wilkes told authorities that she gave a fake name for Richards because he told her to.
Reports say Inside of the vehicle was a glass smoking pipe and around 10 grams of methamphetamine. Wilkes advised the container the drugs were in were hers, however; the drugs inside were not.
35-Year-old Tiffany Wilkes of Parkersburg was arrested and charged with possession of drugs and obstruction justice. 33-year-old Robin Richards of Coolville was charged with obstruction justice and the warrant for parole violation. Both were transported to the Washington County Jail.
