Memorial Health System Safety Grade
The Memorial Health System has earned an A Hospital Safety Grade. This was given by the Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit organization focused on patient safety. Their grading system is like one you have in school where you receive an A, B, C, D, or F, with A being the best and F being the worst. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program focused solely on preventable medical errors, infections, and injuries that kill more than 500 patients a day in the United States. This program is peer-reviewed, fully transparent, and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring. Memorial says this grade validates to their patients that they always work to make patient safety and comfort the top priority when they are treated by the health system.
