Marietta College Names New Interim Preisdent
As Marietta College concludes the fall semester, it has released news about its search for a new President. For the last 18 months, Dr. Margret Drugovich has served as the college's interim president, and a nationwide search has been underway. In the summer, an applicant accepted the position before backing out before the school year, resulting in Drugovich resuming presidential duties for the Fall Semester. In an email, the Marietta College Board of Trustees announced that the College's Provost, Kathleen Dougherty, will become the next President on January 1st. Her term will last through June 30th. This will be an extended interim presidency of 18 months as a search continues for a full-time president. WMOA has contacted the college and Dr Dougherty for comments and is awaiting a response.
