Building Bridges to Careers has just announced that there is a course available for educators and intermediaries within the Southeastern Ohio range. Emily Bentley, the education engagement specialist, shares more. "This new opportunity is the Building Bridges to Careers and Career Pathway Support Network. Um, so B B2C and CPSN Community and Career Connected Learning Resources Course. Um, it is a year long opportunity that is open for educators and intermediaries of those who are serving our Key 12 students who are interested in learning more about the new Ohio Career Connections framework and implementing it in their practice." She explains that this opportunity is definitely hands-on. "Participants can expect to, um, learn strategies for mentoring, advising, how to analyze career assessment data, how to analyze local economic development and workforce data, um, but also put into practice some of those, um, pieces of the new career connections framework." Participants will be expected to attend 5 in-person and 5 virtual meetings. " I am really excited about this opportunity because it really shows true collaboration amongst different entities in our region. I think we do that really, really well in southeastern Ohio. So this really is a true partnership between building bridges to careers, the Southeast Ohio Career Pathway support Network, utilizing the Appalachian STEM collab convenings in terms of, you know, our relationship and partnership with future plans." For those interested, the application is a Google Form with a deadline of March 29th. Those who complete the course will earn a $2,000 stipend and have the option to earn 4 credits through the University of Rio Grande.
