The Washington State College of Ohio honored two Distiguished Alumni Award recipients for their outstanding careers and community involvement, exemplifying the college's values and mission. We spoke with Jenna Barnhart, Washington State's communication specialist, about the awards.

Holbert has been involved in community service since her time at Washington State, serving on the Foundation Scholarship committee and by becoming a scholarship donor.

Deming works in philanthropic cases throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley. She helps guide investment in healthcare and community well-being across the region.

 "Jill has also been active in the community organizations for many years. She serves on the board of directors for Eve Incorporated, which is a nonprofit organization that provides shelter and support for survivors of domestic violence, and she's been with them since 2006. She serves as their board president."

Both were presented with awards Tuesday evening for their exemplary service and commitment to the community and Washington State.
