Party in the Park for Prevention
Washington County Children's Services will be holding its 4th annual Party in the Park for Prevention on April 25th from 11 AM to 2 PM. Carly Hill, the Prevention Program Supervisor, spoke more with WMOA about the event. She says the overall goal is to facilitate a family bonding experience. The event hopes to bring positivity to East Muskingum Park in Marietta. " We just wanna focus on supporting families and offering a time for them to come and just enjoy the day, and we're just hoping for good weather." Party in the Park for Prevention is a free, public event.
"Our party in the park is for the month of April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, and we do a fun event in the park that's centered for children and their family and their parents or caregivers coming to enjoy the day. And, um, just have some fun together."
"The goal is just to have a day where that can be stress free. That that gets families together, gets them out in the community, gets them either linked up with services if they're needing to. 'cause we have some service providers that show up with their information. Um, but really just to enjoy the day and, um, be together."
