Waterford, Ohio- The Southeastern Ohio Port Authority has partnered with the Belpre Industrial Parkersburg Railroad.  This company is part of Cathcart rail.  Together they have purchased a 165-acre site at the former AEP Muskingum River Plan in Western Washington County.  The site was sold to Commercial Liability Partners back in 2015.  Since then, it has been fully demolished, remediated and prepped for redevelopment.

The site features a 96-car unit trail rail loop with an aggregate unloading facility and additional spurs.  Electrical substations and a 36-inch Texas Eastern Pipeline is available for natural gas.

The official location is in Waterford at the end of an upgraded county road.

Casey Cathcart, the Executive Chairman of Cathcart Rail says they are excited to partner with the Port Authority, adding that with the size of the site, they are able to provide an ample footprint for manufacturing, plastics or petrochemical development.  This could also include a large transloading operation for agriculture, aggregates, fertilizer, liquids, lumber and more.
