Fight reported at Washington County Jail

MARIETTA, OHIO- Personnel stated that an inmate assaulted another in the bathroom for no apparent reason, according to Washington County Sheriff's Office reports. Prior to the assault, one inmate was observed taking an aggressive posture and seeking out an argument with the other. The alleged victim in the matter was identified as Sylvester Walker. 
 
 
Washington County Sheriff Office reports say he was attemping to defend himself from a barrage of punches and kicks by the attacking inmate identified as Goround Sasay.  At one-point, Sasay reportedly broke a broom handle and came at Walker. Sasay was tackled by other inmates and disarmed. While on the ground he was punched several times and kicked. Other inmates joined in.
 

A Zachary Blum, Phillip Butler and Josh Stewart were all charged with Assault. Sasay was charged with assault, vandalism and possession of a deadly weapon.

Two inmates were reportedly involved in a fight at the Washington County Jail.
